An optional voice/text chatbox/shoutbox built in to vBulletin which would allow full access and use of vBulletin's user information and privileges, would serve the needs of many users of vBulletin.
Providing such a feature as one which can be enabled/disabled via the AdminCP should stifle the outcries of those opposed to such a feature being provided part and parcel with vBulletin.
The g_TeamSpeak mod for vBulletin allows the use of a TeamSpeak 2 server, but requires an accessible installation TeamSpeak 2, which the commercial providers of TeamSpeak servers don't allow.
It is claimed that TeamSpeak 3 would make such an integration fairly easy to do. Relevant information, and the TeamSpeak 3 SDK, is available from http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=teamspeak3sdk
I don't know if it's possible, but a version of vBulletin, with an integrated installation of a TeamSpeak 3 server, for the exclusive use with an installation of vBulletin, providing transparent voice/text chat capabilities to that installation's users in the form of a ChatBox/Shoutbox, would be great.
