On Feb 17, Detained human rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja enters his 10th day on hunger strike "Freedom or Death". The available information on his deteriorating health is very worrying. Please consider signing this appeal.

Brother, courageous defender of human rights Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja, with respect:
We the undersigned urge you to stop your hunger strike immediately to preserve your life that is very precious to all of us and cannot be compromised. Among us, the signatories to this appeal, a large number of those who have worked with you in the field of human rights and know your rare qualities and your love for freedom and defending the rights of everyone without exception. Also among us, a large number of your follow citizens who are still in dire need of your inimitable human rights services. We have known you dear Mr Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja as a human rights defender of the first class and we cannot accept anything less than your full freedom and that the perpetrators who tortured you should be held accountable before the competent courts to receive their deserved punishment.

O brave defender, compassionate brother and friend, Mr Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja
We appeal to you from our filled hearts with pure love and superior appreciation to your good self to stop your hunger strike immediately and not to give any opportunity to those who want evil to spread amongst the movement of human rights in Bahrain in particular and our region in general. We have great hope that you will accept this appeal.
