Forum How to recover the content from vBulletin files and folders?

Hello,

I had vB 4.0.6 installed on a server. Then I happened to change my password for cPanel. From then on, my forum was always offline, with a Database Error screen:

I checked my config.php file and made sure that the info corresponded to the Database, username and Password in cPanel > MySQL. But it didn't work. My host couldn't help me either.

So nevermind, now I just want to reinstall a clean vB forum and start over, but I would really need to recover the layout of the front page (the categories and their description) and some of the most important posts and thread. I still have the folders and files and a backup of my database intact.

How can I do to recover the content (even if I have to copy/paste it into the new forum)? Is the content located in the database or in the public_html/forum folder?
