hi all,

is it possible to migrate an IPB 3.1.2 installation with blog etc to vbsuite with impex?

i cannot find if impex can do the job, it's important for me to know if the script works flawlessly to do this migration.

i just migrated from vb3.x to ipb 3.1.2 and a lot of posts were gone


another q:

is it possible to merge two databases of the same forum?

i have an old vb database and a new IPB database.

when i move from ipb to vb4 can i merge the two databases to one working database so that old messages which disappeared during the migration from vb3.x to IPB3 come back and also the new threads which are made in the IPB forum are coming up in the new vb4 suite?

so in a short way:

1. can impex import from IPB 3.1.2 to vb4 suite?
2. can impex import from VB 386 pl1 to vb4 suite?
3. can impex merge the old vb3 database and the imported database from IPB 3.1.2 to only one working database where all posts reside in their original order?
4. what shoud i do first if above is okay; import vb3 to vb4 and then another import from IPB to VB4 (with allready imported posts from the vb3 forum) or in another way?
