Hi all, I'm building a community-based site, and need to create a user system to allow members to create profiles, submit articles, etc. The site will feature a forum (either vBulletin or SMF, still deciding), so I was hoping I could simply use my forum's user database across my entire site, instead of creating my owner user system and then integrating with my forum software. I'm assuming this is possible...? A couple of the things I'd like to be able to do are... - create my own custom login page (i.e. not the forum's default login page) to log people into my site, using my forum's user db as the back end. - Allow users to create just one account for my entire site (allowing them to post in the forum, submit articles, create profiles, etc.) vs. creating a site account and a separate forum account. Can someone confirm whether this is possible with vBulletin? If so, are there any articles you can point me to that explain how to use vBulletin as a site-wide user system? Thanks for the help! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
