CMS Image [img] size in article problem

Sorry if this is old ground, but i cant seem to find any useful info on this...
i have been creating articles and premoting them from my threads using and that contain images linked from else where.. i have found the style var to automatically control the width of the images in the forum, but i cant seem to find the option for controlling them in articles or blogs...

can anyone help?

for referance see the first post of this thread. the image width has been limited to 890px so it fits in the width of the site

now see the same item as an article. the image at its source is larger and so is apearing larger in the article

this is even more of an issue within the blog section as the first images can be overlapped by the user contol pannel down the right hand side....
does vb4 have a system for dealing with either of these issues? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
