Forum Really weird header/logo question. No not the Array issue

My site is working just fine for the most part. However, I went to check on my theme settings and I'm left scratching my head.

My current custom header/logo is functioning fine but I cannot figure out why. When I look in the Stylevar under Title Image, it's the default path for the vbulletin image. This is not the actual path to the logo. You can right click the header image and it will show the proper path being (images/custom/logo.png). This is the case for the main default theme and the child theme underneath it.

When I create a new theme, I can't get the custom logo to show even if I adust the path in the Title Image box. I have to move the theme to be a child theme for it to show the custom logo.

Again, the parent theme still doesn't show the custom path in the Stylevar but when you right click the custom image, it will show you the correct path I somehow set a few forum versions back. I can't figure out how I even got this to work. I've searched the templates for this custom path and nothing has turned up.
