CMS How do I make the Forums more obvious in the Front Page?

CMS How do I make the Forums more obvious in the Front Page?

mydomain.com points directly to mydomain.com/content.php, the forums are in mydomain.com/forum.php and the blogs in mydomain.com/blog.php.

When a first time visitor arrives to mydomain.com it is little obvious that the site's main attraction are the forums.

I've been thinking about adding a banner above the "What's New" page title (right below the navbar), centered and with a link to mydomain.com/forum.php. How do I go about doing this?

And instead of the first two articles, that are the last posted articles, I'd like to have a one sticky article to make people aware of the forums. Or two, if one column is not possible. Is this possible?
