CMS How do I make text darker or change the color?

I have looked all over and no one has addressed this issue. I am red and green color blind. Very common among males. I have a problem seeing the text in the main body of CMS articles. The text as it is now is way to light. I need to make it darker or change it. Not sure where everyone got this color but it seems every where you go on the web they use the same shade and it sucks. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
