Can I change Profile Field Type once the field has been created?

I've got a profile field that is set as a single-selection radio button. But now I want to set it as a multi-selection radio button and add in some different options.

Is it possible to do that, or do I need to delete that profile field and create a new one?? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
