| I noticed that there is talk by the developers about ditching the current reputation comment system. See the tracker I would liek to start discussion on this in open forum as it would present a major issue for my site and i expect it would for other sites as well. The current reputation system needs an overhaul, in the sense that it needs more functionality and control. I had various functionality created to make the reputation system work. Like reputation comment moderation, show comments under posts, let users choose how many reputation points they want to give, force members to write a comment, and report reputation rating. This works like a charm and is a major driving force behind my big board. I have 80.000 written reputation comments in my system. That's twice as many as all than blog entries, group posts, tags and number of attachments together. So ditching reputation comments altogether would be the same for my site as ditching blog, group posts, tags, attachments and then some. Its simply not possible. Please consider to further develop the current system, into a mature system. Instead of releasing another half baked basic system. Also mind that the reputation system that vbulletin has, is one of the 3 reasons why many large boards cant migrate to IPB. The others being tags and groups. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__  |
