I previously asked on this site about a 10-star rating system. Unfortunately, vBulletin does not allow for this sort of modification to its ratings so I had to find an alternative. After some searching I found one entitled AJAX Star Rater. It is a program that supposedly works on most any sites. The problem is it's no longer supported by the author and it's the only 10-star rater I can find. Anyway, I have installed it and gotten the database setup to accept the ratings. Now I'm trying to get the code in the article and that's where I'm having some trouble. I want to make it as simple for myself and others as possible, so I thought a bbcode would be the simplest way. In the instructions for the program it says to: 3. Enter this line at the top of any page where you want to have rating bars. ========================== Code: ========================== 4. Point to the right Javascript and CSS files (you need behavior.js, rating.js, and rating.css) ========================== Code: I assume this means that the code from Step 3 & 4 can be combined. So I created a bbcode called rating1 with that code. The instructions go on to say: ========================== 5. Drop the function wherever you want a rating bar to appear ========================== Code: - 10 stars (default), ID of 8 - 5 stars, ID of 8xxa - 5 stars, ID of 9a, static (non votable) - 10 stars, ID of 9b - 8 stars, ID of 9c, static (non votable) So I created a new bbcode called rating2. I thought that I could then have as the very first thing in the article [rating1][/rating1], have the article text, and then have [rating2][/rating2] at the bottom. Yet then the only thing that happens is the article shows [rating1][/rating]. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this working? I'd really appreciate any help. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
