Alright, I was one of the unlucky few who purchased a 3.8.3 OWNED license right before vbulletin 4 came out. My owned license is expiring or unable to receive updates in one month. ( I knew this would be coming, I have been just avoiding thinking about what to do) .. I am running vb 4.0.3. which is pretty buggy so i either need to downgrade to 3.8.5 or pay the 175 upgrade fee because I won't be able to run any stable bug free version of 4.0..
Now, since the upgrade fee is $175, I was thinking that I would be better off to try and sell my current vbulletin owned license because if I get more than $20 for it then it would be better to do that and just buy a new 4.0 license at the $195 price. That would make it a lot easier for me to get vb4 instead of paying the huge upgrade price right now.
I was also thinking of downgrading to 3.8.5 and starting a new forum with the 4.0 license. I really don't know what to do.......this sucks, not vbulletin but this situation.
