Fatal error on registration

My users get this error when they register:

I have read a large number of threads on vb.com, that report the same error.

The advise of IB staff is that it is caused by a plugin. Ragtek commented this:

Maybe it's a scopeproblem?! (called inside a function where $vbulletin is not global? etc...)

What hook does this relate to?
Is this caused by a plugin or is this a vbulletin bug? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
