Forum Integrating Login with another site

Hi

I am new here and definantly loving this software.. I know this was asked but for my situation I am having problems.. I have a main site with different pages and information. I don't want to integrate all of vb into the site, but I just want to have the login/password field in a table on my site, and when the user enters the name and pass, it loads the vb site itself. I left html and coding long ago so this is a little hard. I used the source code from the vb page itself and I was trying to configure it from there but I was having problems.. A point in the right direction would be great..
