Picture comment notification does not go away

A user of my forum is reporting this:

My notification at the top of my page says that I have an unread picture comment. When I click on it, it directs me to the page that says I have no unread picture comments. This won't go away even after that.

I have no idea how to fix it. I tried to delete the users notifications in the database, but it did not help. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
