Does anyone know why (running in xampp) when a new user is created, he can view forum and blogs, but not the home page? the new users are restricted from viewing the home page. I am going to assume this is a bug because it would be utterly ridiculous to have as default setting to not allow a new user to see your home page what with websites purpose being to display content to users!
when i log in as a user, it says:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
