Upgrading from 3.7.4 to 3.8.5...Why am I not showing 3.8.5 after SQL update?

I just reinstalled vbulletin on a new website I have. I am trying to convert my old website that I have that was using 3.7.4 software.

So I do the install of 3.8.5 and everything is working great! I get the 3.8.5 version number at the bottom of the screen, and I get the original blue Vbulletin screen.

Then I import the orgininal sql database from the old website and import it into the new website. By doing this, it makes the website look like the old website. It has the same themes, and it shows 3.7.4 at the bottom. It seems like it copied the entire program over, and not just the database. The threads are there, but I don't want it to be 3.7.4

Because I have a bug in the old 3.7.4, I want to start with a fresh copy of vbulletin. All I need is the data to be imported (ie the members, threads, ...ect)....

I am using MySqlDumper to make the transfer, and I am FTPing the files over. So what am I doing wrong and why can't I just fet the members transfered? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
