I was getting a lot of db errors. As a result, persistent connections were turned off in the php.ini and vb settings. Since then, errors have gone down dramatically. I was getting "db has gone away" errors. However...there is still one that I keep getting daily (a couple times a day it seems). Quote: Database error in vBulletin 3.8.3: Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS count_posts FROM post AS p INNER JOIN thread as t ON p.threadid=t.threadid WHERE p.visible=1 AND p.userid=427; MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away Error Number : 2006 Request Date : Monday, March 29th 2010 @ 1025 AM Error Date : Monday, March 29th 2010 @ 1003 AM Script : http://www.onlinedebate.net/forums/c...and=1269876022 Referrer : http://www.onlinedebate.net/forums/index.php IP Address : 98.201.25.4 Username : Unregistered Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : A few questions... 1) What is causing this? It looks as if it is due to a bad cron job, no? 2) How can I resolve it? 3) Will upgrading to a newer version of vb help? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
