Im sure others have dealt with this situation and I hoping to get a bit of feedback from a few who have experience. Members from a large competing board come onto our board and make clever incindiary & inflammatory remarks to create conflict. Then when they are warned for TOS violation and the posts edited or removed they go on the other larger board and squeal censorship and make all manner of false claims and accusations. Supposedly this is cross-posting? Complaining about infractions on one board that happened on another. Does anyone here terminate a user for this behavior? I have heard many forums have made it grounds for dismissal to rant about mod/owner behavior on another competing site? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossposting "Crossposting to groups that are irrelevant to the message posted could be considered spamming." "Crossposting is sometimes it is used maliciously to begin a thread between newsgroups whose readers are likely to have violently differing opinions, in the hope of provoking a conflict. This is a form of trolling." __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
