The server is a bit old. It's a P4 2.43 ghz with 2gb of memory. Nothing is going on with the server and it has 1 gb of free memory. I installed the community back in Feb. There weren't any installation issues. However, doing most anything on the forum would eventually lead to a disconnect. I control the server and RDP connections would drop as well. It appears vbulletin, just clicking on a simple link would send the PHP exe to 40% utilization. A page refresh in an article section would cause all disconnects. We determined this was sending the php.exe process up to 100% and cripple the server. (There are only 8 registered users and I'm the only one adding content right now.) The server has been running 2 years with no issues. So I decided to download the latest 5.3.2 version of PHP for windows. (Version 5.2.12 was installed) I first downloaded the Thread Safe version and installed it. There were no issues or events in the logs however, the community won't come up. Locally I just get DB error. Theh database has encountered a problem. I read somewhere that I may should be using the non thread safe version so I downloaded it and tried the install. I'm still getting the same error. I haven't ever worked with PHP and not sure how to troubleshoot why I'm getting a db error. MySql is up and running and I can connect with the administrator and see all the databases and don't see any errors in it's log. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
