Suite 3.8.4 to 4.0.2 Incompatible default style

I was running 3.8.4 which was heavily modded.
I uninstalled all the mods which only left the products vBulletin and vBlog
I reverted all modified templates back to the defaults
I only had 1 style which was the 3.8.4 Default with no template changes
I left the Stle Manager as it was which only changes the colours and font sizes etc (just the cosmetics for the css)

I deleted all files in the forum directory with the exception of images, customavatars, customprofilepics etc - attachments are stored on the file system above the forum folder
I went through the db and deleted a couple of tables and fields that were left over from the mods - using a blank install of vb3.8.4 for reference

I uploaded the new 4.0.2 files with the exception of install.php and config.php making sure that my files in my images folder are not overridden
Ran the upgrade script for 4.0.2 suite (forum, blogs and CMS)
During the upgrade I received these errors:

The result is that it still works however my default 3.8.4 style is listed as incompatible and there is another style called vB4 Default Style

None of my buttons or colours or status icons etc are being shown in either of the styles.

Any idea what the problem could be and what do I need to do to get my colours etc back into my forums without having to start editing every single colour in the style - thanks! __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
