Possible to have users upload images directly to my site instead of hosting elsewhere

Is this possible? Can i have them upload their images directly to my site instead of them having a 3rd party host and then removed if they choose? That way once the content is there its there for good. If not a program or an account that allows them to directly upload for the post and it will save some where else that i control so we keep the content on the site. Not sure if its a setting or what but something.

Any help would be appreciated thanks. I have version 3.8.4 __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
