Forum test styles not updating

not getting any response in the customising forum and have been advised to try here instead, so apologies for cross posting, but i'm getting desperate for some help on this!

just to clarify: i have 3 styles - only one 1 is live
the 2 admincp options i have found that relate to this are:
1. i have allowed users to view styles
2. i have already unchecked the box that allows users to choose styles (so that dropdown doesnt appear on my front page)
