So I read a document about securing my forums and tried a few different things. Somewhere along the way I changed permissions both via my ftp software, htaccess (via Cpanel) and tried learning about htaccess myself and now I find myself stuck with a 403 Forbidden error not only when entering my admincp directory (that I was trying to limit) but now also my site. Quote: Error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I have switched off any permissions on directories via Cpanel and currently all permissions set via my ftp program are at a 744 value. Under my root directory I have a folder called '.htpasswds' that was created when I was setting authentication rights on folders via Cpanel. Under this directory I have another 'public_html' which then has 'admincp' under that though with no files underneath it now once I turned the permissions off in Cpanel. Any gurus out there have any thoughts? I'd be happy just to get things read only all round so I can at least see my site again. Any help would be much appreciated. Matt __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
