Suite Forum upgrade problems

Hi all,
Firstly I would like to say I am not a techy, this is my first attempt at a forum upgrade, so please speak slowly!
I am attempting to upgrade to version 4. These were my cheat notes.

1. Download the zip file from the members area on vBulletin. Have customer number and password handy
2. Extract the zip file
3. Rename the folder named 'upload' to 'forums'. Do not alter the do_not_upload folder
4. Turn off the forums
5. Backup the forums
6. Connect to the server via your FTP program eg Filezilla
7. In the FTP windows click and drag the newly named forums folder to public_html on the server. Select Overwrite for all files.
8. Run the upgrade script here http://www.joyouslearning.info/forum...ll/upgrade.php and follow the steps
9. Go to the FTP and delete the file named install.php from the install directory
10. Go to the Admin CP and find Styles & Templates and click Find Updated Templates. Do the same for Languages & Phrases.
11. Open the forums

I followed these and also the Vbull manual (from the above link).
All was going well until step 7: copying the re-named "forum" folder across with filezilla. What I got was a whole load of error messages which look like this:

What does it mean? Am I completely screwed or is this repairable? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
