Forum Members can not start of a new thread

We are finding a number of members that can not start a new thread -only reply to a thread. They are clicking on the new topic button and getting a grey or blue box that is devoid of any ability to type in. It seems this is a frequent issue with us.

2. We also are having many members have issues posting pictures. I have instructed them to turn off the enhanced editor and we are seeing some improvement but others can upload 2 or 3 pictures and then they are grey boxes again. Some report that an error comes up that they have reached the maximum number allowed even though only 2 -3 have uploaded and the permission is for 12.

Below is a reply from a member that was having issues with upload. we seemed to have solved this with the enhanced editor option being turned off for him but the problem now takes a different twist. he replies"

" I haven't tried that but this is a different problem than what I was
having with those helmet photos. It would accept the upload of them but
just wouldn't post them. Now It won't let my add more than 3-4 photos"

Do you have any suggestions for corrections or setting replacement?

When we migrated to the V.40 we found also that a vast number of images did not come with us and were lost. Can these be migrated from the old 3.8 system again to integrate into the 4.0 version? Many were irreplaceable archived reference images that can not be easily if at all replaced as many were years old.

Any help would be appreciated.

By the way the emoticons are really poor and washed out. They can barely be seen and should be upgraded ASAP. 4.0 deserves something better then that. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
