I've searched a bit on email banning* and I see a lot of lists* but many have duplicated addresses with the varieties of .com* .net* .org* .tv* .etc. In my email ban list I use words and partial addresses* which seems to work (?)* but I'm wondering if it is technically correct.
An example of this is* I have had spammers start with [email protected]* then go to [email protected]* then [email protected]. I use a ban of both "sex" by itself* which should prevent anyone from registering any email with "sex" in it. And also ban "@email." (including the dot '.')* which should ban all version of "@email"* including .com* .net* .org* .etc.
Are both of these assumptions correct?
If yes* it may help others shorten their list and make it easier to ban multiple domains. If not* that makes for a hell of a lot more typing and a long list to manage.
