ظهر برنامج “فوتوشوب” Photoshop لأول مرّة عام 1987 عندما قام “توماس نول” بعمل تطبيق جرافيك على جهاز ماكنتوش بلس، وكان البرنامج حينها يقوم بعرض الصور أحادية اللون بدرجات اللون الرمادي، وكان اسم التطبيق Display، ثم قام أخو “توماس”؛ “جون نول”، بتطوير التطبيق وأضاف عليه خاصية تعديل الصور، وكانت أول نسخة من فوتوشوب هي (Photoshop (version 0.07.

في أواخر عام 1988 قامت شركة أدوبي بشراء البرنامج، وفي عام 1990 أصدرت أدوبي Photoshop 1.0، وكان يتضمن خاصية تعديل الألوان وإضافة “تحسينات” Retouching، بعدها تم إصدار نسخة تدعم وضع CMYK وإضافة أداة Pen Tool.

وقد تم تطوير الإصدارات عبر السنوات حتى عام 2003 الذي ظهرت فيه نسخة CS إختصارًا لـ Creative Suite، وهي مجموعة من البرامج الخاصة بمصممي الجرافيك، ومن أهم برامجها فوتوشوب، وتوالت الإصدارات حتى CS6 ثم ظهر الإصدار الأخير الموجود حاليًا، وهو CC؛ اختصارًا لـ Creative Cloud.

تتعدد استخدامات برنامج فوتوشوب، منها:
إنشاء وعمل تصحيحات وتعديلات على الصور
التحسينات
دمج الصور
التأثيرات فنية
الرسم الرقمي
إضافة نصوص
تصميم مواقع إلكترونية
وغيرها من الخصائص والإستخدامات

وهذا الكورس من المُصمم Martin Perhiniak، ذلك الرجل يعتبر مُعلم خبير ومُعتمد في شرح منتجات شركة أدوبي.
و هذا الكورس مأخوذ من يوديمي، وموجود أيضاً على موقع Skillshare، ولكن مُقسّم على هيئة أجزاء بدلاً من كورس واحد.
