Our forum has a reasonable number of mods, many of them assigned to mod more than one forum. Until now they've been able to moderate social group messages and album pictures, which is the vB default, but we now want to remove those permissions from most mods.
The social group and album permissions appear to be set on a per-mod-per-forum basis, which really makes no sense to me. It has nothing to do with forums, so shouldn't it be set on a usergroup basis? I really hope that this is improved in vB 4.
Anyway, in the meanwhile it appears that when a mod is assigned to multiple forums the "highest" social group permissions prevail, ie. if their permission to moderate group messages for one forum is set to "Yes" and for another forum it's set to "No" then they have the permission. Is that correct? This would I need to go through every mod/forum combination, which is quite a bit of work. Is there some way I can bulk-update these permissions for all mods - even if it involves a SQL statement? I could then go and manually change permissions for the few mods that should have social group mod permissions.
