vB Site Rules System

We need a better system to communicate forum/site rules to our users. Here is what I propose:

First there would be some predefined rules that you can fill in with any HTML:
Signature rules

Avatar rules

Profile picture rules

Album/Album picture rules

General rules

Each one of these predefined rules can be filled out with any HTML that you want. Each rule would automatically appear where you can edit that item. For example the avatar rules appear on the edit avatar page, and the album/album picture rules show up when you create/edit albums or pictures.

You could also add custom rules, for example:
Rules for links in posts

Promoting/advertising rules

Rules of conduct

So for each rule, you would specify the name/title of the rule, the contents of the rules, and the display order. The predefined rules would also have a flag telling vB where to display them. The title and contents of each rule would be stored as phrases, with links to translate them.

All rules would be combined for display at registration or on misc.php?do=showrules, which would be displayed something like this:
