I have a rather small community, so at this time it's not a big deal, but once in a while I'll receive email about bad email addresses. The typical "mail daemon" or whatever that says "XXX is a bad email address" or "could not deliver" or whatever. Anyways, I'll search that email address in my AdminCP to find whose it is, and when I figure it out, I want to somehow force the user to update their email address so it's valid. Part of my terms of registration is for my site to have a valid email address on file at all times. So, how can I do this effectively? I was thinking about just moving those users into the "Users Awaiting Email Confirmation" usergroup, but I'm not sure what that would do. Yes, it would remove their posting permissions (which is what I want), but will they be able to update their email address, and then verify it the same way they would at registration? I'd like the process to be as automated as possible. Once I move them to the usergroup, will they be asked to update email address right away??
If that doesnt work, can I just delete their email address in the admincp view of their profile or something? Would that do it??
