In an effort to increase my site speed, I am rebuilding my forum from a clean install.
I exported my data tables from phpMyAdmin and started to import them one at a time to see where the big choking point was. When I uploaded the 'forum' table(10,237 rows), and rebuilt the forum info in admincp, I noticed my time to first byte went from a fraction of a sec, up to over 4 secs. I see that the tables phrase, searchcore, searchcore_text, searchgroup, and searchgroup_text have all become significantly bigger, with the same amount of rows as my forum table. I am looking for any suggestions on manageing the data tables. I have already done a significant amount of vBulletin and server optimization. Is it necessary to keep the data in those tables? Is there anything else I could do to work with that table in particular to make the site go faster? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. database.jpg Attached Images
