Regime's use of excessive force to terrorize citizens

Documentation; Tuesday 5 th Nov 2012 At least 17 areas were subjected to the regime's ongoing use of excessive force and violence against citizens within its suppressive security policy towards pro-democracy protests.

Six houses were raided by the regime forces, private properties were vandalized and households were subjected to attacks and verbal abuse.

Many injuries were reported between citizens when the forces used Birdshot excessively, along with toxic tear gas that was fired into densely populated neighborhoods, causing asphyxiation between residents.

Despite all this, the pro-democracy protests continued to take to streets, chanting freedom slogans with Bahraini flags raised over heads. The protesters refused dictatorship and the provocations and threats against Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassim.

Areas of protests; Sitra-Mihazza, Eker, Maameer, Nabih Saleh, Duraz, Bani Jamra, Miqsha,

DarKulaib, Abu Quwa, Juffair and Dair.

Reports said a woman was arrested at the Saudi causeway after denetion warrants were issued for her and her daughter in what is known as the 'City Centre' incident in which a number of women were arrested in a brutal and immoral manner that revealed the savage mentality of the regime against citizens.

Houses were raided amid a wide spread of the forces in JidHafs, while Dimistan was subjected to the forces collective punishment. Birdshot was also used in Dimistan and Karzakan.

In Sanabis, plain-clothes regime militias attacked neighborhoods with tear gas for no reason.

Reports also said a student was arrested by civilian security men from a school in Sitra during study hours. And in the village of Mehazza in Sitra island, a house was raided by the forces who verbally abused the women in the house.
