Wounded Detainees Tortured and Denied Medical Treatment
Al-Bannai and Al-Hayki in Critical Condition

The regime in Bahrain spares not a single day without using excessive violence against citizens. Violations of regime's brutality are counted by areas rather than people because the regime's systematic suppression is usually exercised against whole areas excluding nobody.

More than 20 areas around Bahrain were subjected to collective punishment Saturday (13thOctober,2012) that resulted in a number of birdshots (an internationally prohibited weapon) injuries and 9 arrests. Lethal toxic gasses were used excessively, the usual way the regime deals with peaceful pro-democracy protests.

Protests and popular rallies continue to take to the streets in different areas around Bahrain condemning the insults and threats made by the regime against Shaikh Isa Ahmed Qassim and the opposition figures.

Areas that witnessed protests are: Duraz, Sar, Karranah, Al-Daih, A'ali, Sitra-(Al-Khrijia, Mihzza, Siffalah), Ma'ameer, Al-Ekir, Nuwaidrat, Abu Saiba'a, Karzakan, Nabih Salih, Dair, Karbabad, Adhari, Dar Kulaib and Jibalat Habshi.

The regime is still keeping a young girl, Danah Jaaffar, behind bars , she was arrested on Friday from the capital Manama by the regime forces amidst the suppression of pro-democracy protesters who insisted to exercise their right to protest in the capital Manama.

In a very escalating move the regime sent summons to a number of prominent figures, and the Secretary General of Al-wefaq was one of them, Shaikh Ali Bin Ahmed Al-Jidhafsi, activist and teacher Mohammed Al-Tal, in addition to a group of women.

The forces cracked down on a peaceful protest in Sitra, titled " The People Want Freedom". The protest was rather large. Protesters carried the Bahraini flag and pictures of political figures in prison. Before the protest reached its end point, it was heavily attacked with Birdshot that was aimed directly at protesters and toxic tear gasses. A number of direct shot injuries were reported among protesters.
In Saar a peaceful protest denounced insolence by Justice Minister, sided by the regime, towards Shaikh Issa Qassim. Protets took place in other areas persisting to demands of democratic transition.
Ali Abdullah al-Bannai, a detainee, is suffering from severe pain due to the amount of torture he was subjected to in order to obtain coerced confessions. His was denied a family visit, and this raises the family's concerns about their son's health condition.
Sadiq al-Haiky, a sickle cell patient detained since Friday, was severely beaten by regime forces and troops after they kidnapped him from Manama. Saidq, aged 18, was thrown in a neighborhood unable to move. He was then rescued by citizens, but when they came across a police checkpoint with him, they were all arrested and tortured in Qudhaibiya police station. During the torture, al-Haiky fell unconscious. He was taken to emergency in Salmaniya hospital, but only after he was put under security observation for some time. His family was not allowed to see him. His health is now deteriorating It has been reported that a civil security personnel had insulted and beaten Sadiq on hospital bed at night. The hospital has been under military control since the state of emergency was imposed in March 2011.
