CMS urgent help: Publish article twice in same thread (Should take all comments below it)

Hi.

My site takes the idea from stock markets, people make recommendations in forums. The good recommendations get published as an article.

So lets assume mr abc gives a good stock tip. People comment. lets assume there are 5 comments. Now when we publish the article for the first time its perfect as all comments come below it as comments i.e its replicated in thread view and in the forum view.

Now 10 minutes later, lets assume the stock market has a large crash. So now this article isnt popular and we expire the article. We want this to be shown as expired on the articles frontpage. Everyhing is fine till this point.

Now one month later, we realize that this article was actually good and we want to publish the original post again. So assuming we publish it, there should be 2 articles now. One expired and one which we are just going to publish from same thread.This time however, when i try to publish mr abc's article, it doesnt take the 5 comments below it on the frontpage. Any solution for this?

My requirement is very clear that the same thread should be able to publish twice i.e one as expired and one as the current live article (non-expired article) from the same thread. Please help. thank you. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
