Two female Bahraini activists mentioned in blacklist and banned from entering Kuwait

The Bahraini regime has long distributed a blacklist to ban and harass citizens of certain political backgrounds at the borders of other countries.
The Kuwaiti authorities have banned two activists – member of Al-Wefaq shura council, Ramla Hameed and the vice president of the Women affairs, Nazi Karimi – from entering Kuwait early Saturday morning, 25th August, 2012 for being mentioned by name in a list distributed by Bahrain authorities to revengefully target Bahraini activists for their political stance.
In a comment by Al-Wefaq on the situation it said, "We do understand the Kuwaiti authorities' situation here, however, the authorities in Bahrain did not react to cancel the ban after the two women were stopped and delayed in the Kuwaiti airport for hours. This clearly reveals the awful situation of women in Bahrain which is worsened by the regime's oppression and violence. Al-Wefaq stated that such security policies are a humiliation to the Bahraini women and clarify the regime's disrespect to the Bahraini culture.
Al-Wefaq considered the bans as part of the security crackdown on the people in order to expose them to further humiliation.
Al-Wefaq is grateful for the people of Kuwait, particularly journalists, human rights activists and official establishments that expressed their understanding and cooperation to facilitate the situation.

Citizens sometimes only realize that they are banned from travelling at departure, while some get arrested and banned from entering another country. While others are deliberately let to leave the country only to realize they are banned from entering the country they are going to. Such measures are taken to frustrate citizens who adopt the peoples' demand for freedom and democracy.
