Private Board Private forums

I've set up a kind of private board. I'm totally new with the vBulletin or any forum software. I have downloaded and printed the vBulletin 3.8 Manual... all 626 pages of it for constant reference and reading.

I can't find much on how to organize what I want. I mean I don't know what direction to go. Like the hierarchy structure of the site.

For example I have say 7 major forums let's call them forum 1 through 7 for different regional members.

In each of those forums I have threads.

I want one additional private forum in each where that forum is hidden from sight but allows just the members in that region to discuss stuff that the other regions would not be interested in.

Right now I have one pool of registered users.

so how do I figure this out... do I break down the registered users into 7 regions groups?


do I put some kind of field in each of the members individual records?

I have no clue as how to structure this...

any help would be appreciated at least give me a sense of direction thx __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
