Forum Moving servers help

A friend asked me to host his forum on my server. The idea was to move the forum to my server, test it and then point the domain to the new server to avoid any downtime. I closed the forum, updated the urls, backed up the database and installed it on the new server. I changed my license in the member's area to reflect the new server's temporary url, downloaded the forum and uploaded it to the server. When I try to access the admincp it redirects me to the old url, and I have no idea why this is happening. There is nothing in the db (searched for the old url), the config.php and I cleared my cookies.
