Forum StyleVar help

I recently got a new style for my VBulletin. The style is good overall, but there are a few small things that bother me with it that I haven't been able to change. I have looked in the StyleVar dictionary and in the VBulletin Manual and haven't been able to find these variables.
The first of which is that the Search bar and the Title bar (In Post New Thread) are both white unless being used at the moment, and my forum has a black background with white text, so this makes it impossible to see what is in the bars unless you highlight them.
The second thing is the space between the edge of the web browser and the main content (What used to be the Main Table Content variable).
The third thing is that, in a newer style that I turned off after getting it because of this, when using the editor to post a quick reply or edit a post or make a advanced post, the text color button would already be active, coloring every bit of text you tried to type black, and as I said before, I use a black background to my forum, this is a huge problem.
