I have been a vBulletin customer for about 10 years now. I just wanted to stop in and say "hey, thanks for being an ass!" to the vBulletin team.
It's always nice to know that when notices of my license expiration have been caught in my spam filter that vBulletin will quickly follow up with a DMCA take down notice from their lawyers straight to my web host. Not a friendly call or email to the addresses I have had on file for MORE THAN A DECADE with them. After all, with more than 10 years of my payments, surely after 3 short weeks of not having updated this year that is worthy of abusing the DMCA, right?
I have already purchased the new license but instructed our admins to find another forum solution when they can. Maybe with a company that respects their customers rather than fears them.
