Our forum admin team would like to change the URL of the registration form to something else. We'd like to post a "Sorry, registrations are closed. Please email So&[email protected] to register manually" on the main URL. We've got that part working with a simple "die()" in the first line of the register.php file. What we'd like to do now is copy the register.php file to registration.php or supersecret.php and then give out that URL manually to people who email us. We don't want the new URL to appear in any menu ever.
What do we need to change in the register.php file to tell it it has a new filename? all of the obvious things (replace register.php with registration.php etc.) didn't work... On step 2 after the birthday check it redirects back to the register.php file. yes, we know that we'll need to do this every time we upgrade the software. That'll still be easier than dealing with all the spam robots that seem to get past all the other defenses. Thanks in advance. Cam __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
