Cannot access admincp to change forum URL (after site migration)

Hi there,

I am in the process of migrating our site over to a new host. We are currently running vBulletin 3.5.3 and plan to upgrade to the latest version as soon as the migration is complete.

I have transferred all of the files and I have got the front page on the new server coming up reasonably OK with the temporary URL. The problem is that the forum URL is now completely wrong. I want to change it to the temporary URL so that I can do more testing and bug fixing before we consider swapping over the DNS.

Anyway, I know that the forum URL is set under the vBulletin options in the admin CP. The problem is that I cannot access the admin CP. I have tried to access the page directly i.e. http:///forum/admincp/index.php but rather than take me to the admincp I get a pop up windows asking me to download index.php

How do I fix this so that I can move things forward ??
