CMS Section widget

Hi guys and girls.

My review site is going to have many sections ranging from:

How To's
News
Reviews

Inside i will have categories, i'm guessing that's the best way to do it? Like so:

How To's
News
- Previews

Reviews
- Cases
- Cooling

Is this the best way to do it? Sections and then categories? or sections and sub sections or categories and sub categories?

Secondly, i want around 4 or 5 widgets on my CMS.

One showing the last 5 articles in the News section, one showing the last 5 articles in the reviews section and so forth.

How do i go about doing this?
