Hi, I'd been running 4.0.3 on my test server all week, making a template ready for the big upgrade today. The script ran through fine until right near the end when it hit these errors: Quote: Step 5) Install/Upgrade Blog Installing product file... Please make sure that the directory 'clientscript/vbulletin_css' is writable.Done. The script finished and I went to the forums and it was a bare text page, just a few odd images here and there. The admincp is still the old style. I went through all the notices in the admincp to rebuilt things etc and still no graphics on the page, so I tried to rebuild the templates and it came up with the same error as the upgrade script did, so I went and manually removed the original 3.8.4 temeplate which was stuck in the style manager, so I chmodded the vbulletin_css folder to be writeable and then upped the and it worked, but the admincp is still in the old style, and now I'm unable to import new styles, or even make a new style and customise it, when I try and do this, I just end up with a white screen. Do I need to re-run the upgrade script? I've read that doing this can damage the database, is this true? Edit: I just got a reply from Lynne at Vbulletin advising me to change the "CSS as files" setting in admincp, however, this doesn't fix the immediate problem of the failed upgrade. Any insight from anyone that has managed to work round this would be greatly appreciated, thanks. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
