http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...ke-a-Test-Site I have some real restrictive hosting for the moment and making a test site in a subfolder would eat up some vauleable server real estate. Let me cut to the chase. The license allows for a test site. I'm running SMF on another host making VB how to's and tut's. I'm concerned that making changes to my live forum (VB 4.0.2pl1) at it's licensed location, to make those, at some point going to cause it to go BOOM! Besides the odd appearances of the forum as I make the tut's and snap the screen shots. What I'm wanting to find out is: If I follow the policy of having it hidden with no access, can I: 1> Set it up on another host? 2> Would that, despite taking the acknowleged precautions, violate the terms of use in the license? The hosting is donated to me from my primary project supporter. It's unlimited subject to fair use. We're using free software until the project hooks up and takes off. Then the plan is to buy a copy of the VB forum software and import to that. I just need to have another site set up for just testing to work off of. Here's a link to what I'm doing. http://webbsupport.info/index.php/topic,11.0.html If the answer is no then I guess I'll just have to be careful with using my live forum as the test site. __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__ |
