Moving $spacer_open to navbar, need help

Hi, folks - I'm working on a vBulletin project and am having a problem with the $spacer_open not displaying on the STANDARD_ERROR template.

What I've done is move the $spacer_open to the NAVBAR template, because I needed the navbar/header information to be flush with the forum outer border, while keeping the forum proper spaced per the admincp setting.

However, for whatever reason the $spacer_open template just REFUSES to show up on the STANDARD_ERROR template, no matter what I do.

Is there something that would typically prevent SPACER_OPEN from displaying on the STANDARD_ERROR template? __DEFINE_LIKE_SHARE__
