I've tried searching to no avail - just basically several posts of people complaining about the CSS/StyleVars system.
I'm using vBulletin 4.0.1 on a dev server (not in production) and trying to do what I think is the simplest possible thing anyone could do. I'm trying to edit the style var "header_background" to change my header's background color. (Which in CSS is: .above_body.)
So what I've done is:
Created a new style with no parent style
Went into Style Manager -> My New Style -> StyleVars
Search for "header_background"
Change the background color to "#FFFFFF" for example
Click "Save"
Go back into the Style Manager, Ctrl+click My New Style to open it in a new tab to preview it
The header background is still blue, and when I use Firebug to inspect the element, it still has the old blue color listed.
Do I need to rebuild my styles each and every time I update a StyleVar? Is there any other reason anyone can think of as to why this wouldn't update?
