PM and post reply email notifications

For some reason my two vBulletin forums are no longer sending out PM and post reply email notifications.

I was running both sites on VB 3.8.3 when the problem started (I think mid December) and have upgraded to VB 3.8.4 since hoping this would resolve the problem. It hasn't

Nothing in the Admin CP has been changed that would cause this to happen (that I can tell).

Is there a way to check if VB is actually generating and sending out these emails?

PS My host is GoDaddy and I have asked them if anything has been changed on my server and they say not.
