Forum Any tips for pruning a large amount of threads ?

I have some prunning I would like to do which included a section or two that I would like to remove a couple of thousand threads. Anyone who has done this have any tips ? I'm assuming it would be best to do it with the board down and in blocks instead of at the whole time.

I'm concerned about timeouts. What happens if my connection times out while this is going on ? Will the action still continue or does it stop ?
